Chair of Governors, link governor for Literacy /Assessment/ Safeguarding
Louise Mathias-Lukins (Vice chair)
Parent Governor. Link Governor for Health & Safety, wellbeing & Opal Play
Louise grew up in Street, attending Hindhayes, Elmhurst and Crispin Schools. Louise has a background in Nursey education, Hospitality and for the last 15 years has been working at Millfield mainly within the Biology Department but also in the pastural care of the year 9 girls boarding house. I am new to the role of parent governor but am interested to see what I can bring to the role. Both my daughters and step-son have and are attending Elmhurst and I am keen to support the school in any way I can. I care about making a difference in children’s lives and helping to provide an education is paramount. Children all learn in different ways and at different times, we need to be there to support them to continue their learning journey. Outside of work (and sometimes in work) I have been involved in local amateur performing groups from a number of years, mainly backstage and assisting with the technical side of performance. I also love to spend time with my family having different adventures and investigating the world around us.
