Dear Parents,

Well what a first week back! Once again, I wish to thank all of the parents for their patience with regards to the logistics to the school grounds and a return to a whole school drop off and pick up time. The welcoming and supportive comments on the playground have really made my first week at Elmhurst so enjoyable. I can not go any further without saying how wonderful the children have been in making me feel part of the Elmhurst family. Such kind, happy and polite pupils, you must be so proud of your children.

Uniform

Can I just remind everyone that we are now back in full school uniform and therefore, school shoes must be worn to school and trainers are for P.E. sessions.

Policies and protocols

As you will be aware, starting anywhere new takes time and over the next few weeks I will be reviewing policies and protocols with the staff and governors to ensure we have the best provision for your child. Currently I have had to turn off messaging on Facebook due to our capacity to man the site. However, you can still contact teachers directly through Class Dojo or by sending an email to the school office. I will be looking into a range of Parent apps to support efficient communication over the next term and might need some volunteers to trial an app when I find one that I think would work well for the school. I will let you know how this progresses.
