Mindline – in response to concerns about people’s mental health during covid, Somerset CCG and County Council have worked with Mind in Somerset and Open Mental Health to develop their existing helpline.

Mindline is an emotional support and mental health helpline open 24 hours a day, 7 days a week on 01823 276 892.

  
Mindline is a confidential listening service which provides a safe place to talk if you, or someone you know, is in distress. They give basic information about mental health and local support services and can link people directly into additional support.

The line is there for all ages and staff have been trained in talking with adults and young people. It is working alongside Young Somerset and Children and Adolescent Mental Health Service who will support callers as required.

To date both young people and parents, concerned for their children, have been calling the line and finding it really helpful and appreciating the approach of the call handlers.
