Dear Year 3 Parents
We hope that you have managed to enjoy some family time over the last few weeks and that your children are excited about starting with us at Elmhurst. Now the Department of Education has shared the latest guidance, Mrs Airey has written a letter to all parents containing instructions for dropping children off and collecting them at the end of the day. We felt it would be useful to write a separate letter to ensure you know exactly where to go in order to make the transition to a new school as easy as possible.
Pine Class
Children will enter the school site through the top gate by the tennis courts. You may come into the school with your child to prevent any congestion on the pavement outside. Mrs Carpenter will be there to greet the children and there will be staff showing them to their class. At the end of the day, the children will be brought out to the tennis courts to meet you. Please be patient as the teacher will ensure that they at least make eye contact with each adult to ensure they are collected safely.
Ash Class and Sycamore Class
Children will enter the school site through the car park gate. Miss Birch and Mrs Porter will be there to greet the children alongside other members of staff guiding them to their class. Please do not enter the site. At the end of the day the children will be brought out to the car park gate to meet you. Please be patient as the teacher will ensure that they at least make eye contact with each adult to ensure they are collected safely.
The school day starts at 8.45 and ends at 3.15.
Please remember to sign up to Class dojo using the instructions that were sent home in the summer. This will enable you to contact the class teacher if you have any further questions. We look forward to seeing you on the 7th September.
Best wishes
Y3 Team
